Calvert, first elected in 1992, represents over 20% of SD-19 in Congress
Yucaipa, CA – Today, Congressman Ken Calvert (CA-41) announced his support for Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh as she seeks reelection in California’s 19th State Senate District. Rep. Calvert, who was first elected to Congress in the Inland Empire in 1992, currently represents just over 20% of the 19th State Senate District in Washington D.C.
“Senator Ochoa Bogh has lived the American Dream and she is fighting to keep that dream alive every day in Sacramento. I’m proud to endorse Rosilicie as she continues her work to lower taxes, boost our local economy, and ensure hard working Californians keep more of their hard-earned money,” stated Congressman Ken Calvert.
In Congress, Rep. Calvert has been a fierce defender of small businesses and committed to lower taxes at all levels of government. He currently serves on the House Appropriations Committee and as the Chairman of the Defense Subcommittee.
“Riverside County has a strong taxfighter representing it in Congress, and I am honored to have Congressman Ken Calvert’s endorsement,” stated Senator Ochoa Bogh. “I will continue to work with leaders at all levels to empower Californians and challenge the failing policies that are destroying our state.”
Ochoa Bogh’s campaign continues to build momentum as Calvert joins Rep. Jay Obernolte on a broad based local list of supporters including the Sheriff’s Employee Benefit Association (SEBA) which represents nearly 4,000 San Bernardino County law enforcement employees.
Ochoa Bogh was first elected in 2020 and currently represents nearly 45% of California’s new 19th State Senate district. The new districts encompasses parts of San Bernardino and Riverside counties and includes all or parts of Hemet, Apple Valley, Yucaipa, Beaumont, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, La Quinta, Redlands, Banning, Desert Hot Springs, Loma Linda, Rancho Mirage, Yucca Valley, Highland, Barstow, Twenty-Nine Palms, Grand Terrace, Calimesa, Colton, Indian Wells, and Big Bear Lake.
