Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh Endorsed by Banning’s Former Mayor, Art Welch

Yucaipa, CA- The City of Banning’s former mayor, Art Welch, has endorsed Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh in her campaign for State Senate. After years of working together on issues facing the community and region, Welch has seen firsthand Ochoa Bogh’s aptitude for promoting progress and creating change.

“California would be lucky to have an advocate like Rosilicie in the State Senate,” says Welch. “Over the years, she and I have had many opportunities to address concerns and work alongside one another in Banning and the surrounding areas. She always impressed me with her ability to connect with everyone, share her vision for what our community could become, and work harder than anyone to make sure needs were met.”

Currently, Welch is serving on the Banning City Council, a position he was elected to in 2012. From 2003-2004, Art served as Mayor of Banning, a position he found deeply rewarding. Art’s love for the community is apparent from the numerous positions he has taken on over the years in order to serve and connect with the citizens of Banning and Beaumont.

“Rosilicie is dedicated to improving the lives of people right here and right now,” says Welch. “She believes the Inland Empire should be a place where everyone, no matter their background should be able to reach their American Dream. I am excited to see what she accomplishes in the State Senate.”

Ochoa Bogh is proud to be a lifelong Californian and had dedicated her adult life to serving her community. She serves on the East Valley Association of Realtors Board as well as the Yucaipa School Board and she previously served on the Yucaipa Chamber of Commerce. As a legislator, she will take her experience as a community advocate to Sacramento and fight for the issues Californians really care about.

“I am so grateful for Art’s endorsement,” says Ochoa Bogh. “He has been a relentless champion of our campaign and has gone out of his way to support our work across the district. His work in public service has changed so many lives and made this community a better place. I look forward to our continued cooperation as we fight to de-regulate businesses, ease taxes and create good jobs for working families, and invest in our schools.”
