Yucaipa, CA – Today, U.S. Representative Jay Obernolte (CA-23) endorsed State Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh in her campaign for reelection in the 19th State Senate district. Obernolte, who currently is serving in his second term in the U.S. House of Representatives, is a major endorsement for Ochoa Bogh as he represents roughly 40% of SD-19 in Congress. In recent weeks, Ochoa Bogh has earned the endorsements of the California Republican Party, the Republican Party of San Bernardino County, and the Republican Party of Riverside County and enters the second half of 2023 with over $500,000 cash-on-hand.
“Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh is a true public servant who always puts people above politics. A mother, former educator and political outsider, Rosilicie has deep roots in the community, understands the issues our region is facing, and has the conviction to always fight for us,” stated Rep. Obernolte. “Californians will continue to be well served by having Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh in the State Senate as she’ll continue to stand up against out-of-touch policies that hurt middle-class families and fight for real reforms and common sense solutions.”
Prior to being elected to Congress in 2020, Rep. Obernolte served the region in the California State Assembly and as the Mayor of the City of Big Bear Lake.
